Description
Overcoming is a Salvation Army history in the United Kingdom during the 1970s and 1980s.
Overcoming is the story of the Salvation Army in the United Kingdom, as seen through the eyes of a married couple of Salvation Army Officers who entered training in 1974 and were commissioned in 1976. The story follows them through training, through their period of caring for homeless people in London and Glasgow as social workers, and through their subsequent period of pastoral work in Scotland and England as corps officers.
Overcoming is dedicated to the 95 Salvation Army Officers of the Overcomer session who trained between 1974-1976 and who were commissioned and ordained in London in June 1976.
